Session 1 – 11:00-12:00 AM – Behind the Scenes of the Van’s Aircraft RV-15 with Rian Johnson
Curious about Van’s Aircraft’s first-ever high-wing design? Join us for a special forum with Rian Johnson, Chief Engineer at Van’s, as he shares insights from the development of the RV-15 — a backcountry-capable evolution in the RV lineup.
Session 2 – 1:00-2:00 PM – Historical Aviation with OAHS & WAAAM
Jacona from Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum in Hood River and Stan from Oregon Aviation Historical Society in Cottage Grove, each share a perspective on aviation history here in Oregon.
Session 3 – 2:30-3:30PM – Flying on the Edge with Pete Zaccagnino
Pete Zaccagnino is a four-time Reno Jet Gold champion, fastest lap at 560mph, test pilot, and award winning author with over 24,000 flight hours in more than 290 aircraft types. He’s known for his work on the Discovery Channel’s Dangerous Flights and brings a lifetime of aviation adventures to the stage. Pete’s talk promises to be fast-paced, entertaining, and accessible to all — no matter your background in aviation.
Session 4 – 4:00-5:00PM – A STOL Panel with Special Guest Juan Browne
Special guest and STOL announcer Juan Browne of the Blancolirio YouTube channel talks STOL and backcountry flying, aviation safety, and more with a panel of pilots!
Youth Activities
Join us Saturday and come build a foamy airplane! The youth activities tent will be set up near the EAA Clubhouse with information about our chapter’s youth programs including Young Eagles, Teen Build, Ray Aviation Scholarship. See the Youth Build progress on the Jabriu and help us promote aviation to the next generation of aviators.
